Is there a way that I can have a favorite create a selection based on the position of the cursor? What I mean is, if I have the cursor on say 5 minutes, can I create a favorite that will select from 2 seconds before the cursor to the cursor position (or after either way works)? Effectively eliminating the need to accurately drag the mouse to create the selection? Currently it seems the only options I have are for Audition to use a fixed selection ( for example always from 2 minutes to 2 minutes 2 seconds regardless of where the cursor is currently), or the entire file, or whatever selection I have manually chosen. What I need to to be able to create a favorite that will select a fixed time frame based on where the cursor is.
Any help? I have been searching high and low and even asked in a few non-adobe forums and no-one seems to have come across this. If it matters I will be using this in the waveform (spectrum view) section, not multitrack.
