I have the Adobe Audition CS 6 installed on my HP laptop and use a Behringer USB to record vocals.
Everything works great except for the fact that when I play an instrumental track (*on track 1) to record my voice (*on track 2), the audio from track one is recorded also.
This of course makes it difficult to get the volume and levels for Vocals vs Instruments in a good place because the two tracks are not isolated. And playing back track 1 while I play the vocal track 2 causes an "echo" because the music is overdubbed.
I am convinced there is a way to correct this in the software and not the Behringer because not only does it record the audio from track 1 on track 2, if I receive an email alert on the computer (*a DING sound) the same sound will be recorded on the audio track I was recording.
If anyone is able to assist because you ran across the same issue, your help would be appreciated.
