How do I remove Beats per Minute info in a wav file

I purchased a set of drums loops in wav format. They have tempo and beats per minute information embedded in the wav file.

In Audition, the Beats per minutes is grayed out in file information so I cannot change it.

I had to trim some beats to match my 79 bpm song since the original loop file was in 78 bpm

When I open the file in a program like Reaper the file scretches to the 78 bmp because of the header information.

How can I remove the tempo from the wav file.

I have tried saving a copy of the file to every format but the 'Beats per Minutes' is still in the file information.
