I have Adobe Audition CS6 which I rarely use so bear with me here...
How do I enter timecode WITHOUT having to enter the colons or periods or semicolons in between the numbers? I use After Effects all the time and I can enter "just" the numbers and After Effects is smart enough to know that 25813 (for instance) is 00;02;58;13.
Here are two examples in Audition showing how it doesn't work for me.
Set Timecode to SMPTE 29.97 fps Drop.
Cursor on 00;02;32;04
I enter 23204 and my cursor (and TC reading) jump to 00;03;57;20. Same thing happens even if I enter leading zeros.
Set Timecode to Bars and Beats
Cursor on 84:3.05
I enter 84305 and my cursor (and TC reading) go to 131:3.15.
If I enter the colons, periods or semicolons the Cursor WILL go to the correct timecode, however I'm sure others will agree with me that it's a real pain in the butt to add the separators, ESPECIALLY when you're used to NOT having to enter them in other programs.
Any suggestions or am I stuck bouncing back and forth between my number pad and the shift-semi-colon or period? Really interrupts my thought flow.
Thank you,
Marc
