Exporting Image Sequence - Need HD look

Thanks for all the help so far, I am now trying to export an image sequence to HD and am exporting to H.264 29.97 1920X1080 but when I review the final rendered clip I have black bars on the left and right that almost look like a 4.3 aspect ratio. Is there something I need to do to get the wider HD look in the video viewer? Hope that makes sense, if not I can provide some screenshots to clarify.
