Hello I have two files open in multitrack, one file is a song with vocals, the second file below it is just the lyrics from the song. They are perfectly matched and I was wondering how I can use the vocals clip to cancel out the vocals in the first file.

Hello I have two files open in multitrack, one file is a song with vocals, the second file below it is just the lyrics from the song. They are perfectly matched and I was wondering how I can use the vocals clip to cancel out the vocals in the first file. ( I want to make an instrumental) I have tried voice cancelation but this is an mp3 file and It didnt work. Any thoughts? I am in dire need of a solution! any help would be greatly appreciated!!
