I was given videos from a three-day event where the audio wads recorded at a very low level. (Every year, I ask these gents to boost the audio levels and they proceed to ignore me completely. Lowest bidder. You get the idea.)
So I select the option in Premiere to edit the audio in Audition. The waveform looks like this:
I don't pretend to know much of anything about Audition, but I tried the Amplitude & Compression>Speech Volume Leveler. I got a waveform that look like this:
But the audio sounds terrible possible because of the echo from the sound system in the auditorium. It sounds like a chimp is manually turning the audio up and down a few times per second.
Is there a filter that can normalize the audio levels without making it sound too unnatural? Thanks.
