Most of the work on audio is strait foward - noise reduction, amplification, normalize. In this 2 hour lecture there is an abundance of noise.
In this clip I put in silence at 40seconds. What I have is workable audio in the first part of this 2 hour audio and in the second I found line noise, overhead fans, and air conditioner and the mumble of the audience.
In an uncomplicated work I usually normalize (90%), apply noise reduction, multi band compressor-Internet Delivery.
In this clip I collected a noise print in the second section however when applying to the whole track it is on the first section the effects on the voice degradation is noticeable.
Then I read to use DeHummer at 60 Hz to correct line noise. I will have to fiddle with this track to find a solution.
What I need to know should I apply amplification, then normalize, and the thirdly multi band compressor-Internet Delivery -before working with a noise print and noise reduction?
I usually start by first working on the background noise and then advancing to the other effects. I am thinking that there may be a logical order when applying effects especially when dealing with exceptional background noise.
Thanks!
