Weird Import naming change is causing a ton of woes...

Ok, Let me just start off by saying that this is most likely an issue that will only affect a very limited group of people/organizations, probably those who do a lot of batch processing with external scripting.  Anyway,  I'm no software developer, so here I am.

In previous releases of Adobe Audition, when you imported a file, an AVI file in my case, Audition would allow you to open and edit the audio portion of the file, and give it a friendly "_audio" postfix. Example Below:     25.avi --> 25_audioaudition 2014 Example.PNG

For the past few years, and during a massive growth in our company, this stayed constant for quite some time.  We developed new scripts to automate our production process, assuming that this would be a constant.

Now, in the 2015 Release, when you import an AVI file in the same fashion, it adds the File Extension THEN adds the "_audio" post fix.  Example Below Again:  25.avi -->25.avi_audio

I'm sure most of you are thinking... "Change your Scripts, Fool!", or "Find and Replace!".  I wish it were that simple.

Normally, I wouldn't care, and just change the name after saving it.  But as an Employee of a rather large video production organization, we go through hundreds of different videos a day, utilizing batch processing mostly, followed by Thousands of lines of code in scripts that depend on a specific file name structure.

In any case, I am just wondering *IF* there is a way to change how audition names things upon entry, and the difficulty with which making a change like that would entail.  Like I said, I am in no way, shape, or form a software Developer.  If it's impossible, that's fine.  I just was curious if I could help our programmers out.  For now, after a lackluster conversation with Customer Support, I'll be rolling back to the previous version of Audition.  I'd just like to figure this out before it gets out of hand.
