I'm sure there used to be an option under Preferences in older versions I've used of Audition that allowed you to select if a file is converted to 32-bit upon opening. I sometimes want to work with hi-resolution files in their native bit depth without having to re-dither to the original bit depth upon saving.
Audition is converting FLAC and ALAC files to 32-bit upon opening and I simply want it to open the file as is
Surely there's an option other than converting to WAV in a separate piece of software?
