When I send sequences from Premiere Pro to Audition, using the "edit in Audition" menu item. In the dialogue box, I'm selecting to send the video via Dynamic Link, and in terms of what to send I'm selecting "Work Area only" as I don't want to send the entire sequence. The option to send the Work Area only appears not to work at all - what opens in Audition is the entire sequence from Premiere Pro (meaning it is giving me files that are entirely outside the Work Area in my Premiere sequence, both before and after the Work Area in the timeline). I have demonstrated this online to technical support via chat, and they have provided no answers but suggested that I post here.
There is an additional error that I have noticed, though it is not consistent as the above problem (the issue of sending the entire sequence rather than Work Area only is constant - the Work Area only function never works for me at all): On occasions I've observed that not all of the video is sent over via Dynamic Link. To be specific, I have had problems where the video within the Work Area cuts off and shows only black in Audition i.e. the first part of the video plays in Audition via Dynamic Link, but after a certain point in the timeline the video turns to black. This problem as I have mentioned appears to be intermittent, and I've not managed to find a pattern as to when it occurs and does not occur.
I'm using Adobe CC2015 on an OSX Mavericks system, AMD Radeon HD 6970M 1024 MB, 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM.
I'm pretty gutted about these problems - and that I seem to get no help from Adobe whatsoever in solving the issue - given that I'm paying for Adobe CC precisely to move back and forth between Premiere Pro and Audition, and the implementation of the roundtrip between these two programs doesn't actually work. It didn't in CC 2014 either.
