I am planning to switch over from PC to Mac within the next year, likely within a month or so. However, I know there is such trouble between Audition and Mac OS X El Capitan (v.10.11). I have to believe it will be resolved eventually...
But my question is this: If I start an annual subscription on my PC, will Adobe honor it and help me transfer to the right version when it's time for me to transition to Mac? I could maintain a monthly subscription to Audition on my PC, but at $30 a month, that's really some kind of highway robbery (double the price on monthly vs. yearly? C'mon, guys. Bad enough you're not easily selling a desktop version for a reasonable price, my understanding is the only one you can get is a) old and b) still priced as highly as it was when it was new).
What I would like to do is start a yearly subscription and then, when I need to, transfer that subscription over to the Mac-compatible equivalent that I run on my new system. Is this possible, and if so, which version of Audition should I be looking at? Right now I'm on a trial of CC, and love it.
