Remix feature question

hi there,

I have a song I need to shorten (3:20 to 2:40). I tried it with the remix feature (which is really cool btw.!). But what it did, it cut out a part of the song I want to have. So my question is, is it possible to mark the pieces of the song we definitely want to stay after the remix feature was used?
