Adding Natural Pauses to Content in Audition

Hi there,

I'm relatively new to editing in general and have recently started using audition CS6. Having cut out ums, ahs and pauses from my interview content, I now realise I've cut out too many and would like to insert pauses back into my content that sound realistic and natural (not just silence which is sounding slightly artificial and juddery.)

Is there a way that I can achieve this effect?
