Can't hear/monitor through recording only through playback, what is need to be done so I can hear what I'm recording when I'm recording it?

I have a Dell 8300 computer with 1 terrabyte of memory.

Has windows 7 for years now and my avid M-Audio interface. Everything was working fine until I upgrades Windows 7 to Windows 10.

Now, my ability to record on ADOBE CS6 went from fully functional to not hearing the sound of either my voice through the microphone or through a direct line instruments.  I hear the playback fine, but I can't monitor during recording neither through my headphones nor my powered speakers. But remember,  during playback headphones and speaker work just fine.

I think that something in the CS6 programming was altered and I can't monitor now.

Please can you help me remedy this? If not, what options can you propose???
