Hello everyone. I have a quick question and have been looking the answer for quite a while. I seem to not be able to find it thought.
Every time I export let's say a multi track mix down from audition, the volume seems to be lower than the original track. Mind you I have not compressed to a lower format, I always keep everything same as source (which in my case is 48000 Hz, 32-bit, 320kbps CBR) (sometimes I force the entire project to conform to the settings mentioned above by manually choosing them in the export dialog). However, if I play the mix down version of the exported song next to the actual song itself, the original always sounds much louder than my exported file. why is this? This is very frustrating as I feel my mixes aren't coming out to their full quality potential. There is always degradation in volume. I always make sure that my master volume is set to 0db so that it isn't louder or quieter than the original. I have to up the damn master for the entire mix in order for it to sound as loud as the original. I don't want this thought because it messes with my audio levels for some/most of the transitions.
Should I be exporting the mix down as an uncompressed wav, then compressing to mp3 using a different software?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated. And apologies for the noob question.
Thank you
