Which Dithering process is best when converting from 48000 to 44100

Confused- Which dithering process is best when converting files from 96000/32 bit or 48000/32 bit audio to 44100/16 bit prior to CD creation.

I have been using none because I was not sure. Which dither setting is best and how and when do you determine which preset to use.
