I moved my Audition Project into my Dropbox, where I have the project files for all my other parts of post, my Premiere project files, and my After Effects project files. All the audio media lives on a different drive.
I thought all was fine, but now I'm confused because it seems that within the same folder as my Audition project it seems that Audition has made a copy of all the audio files and placed them in a folder called "Imported Files". I definitely did not want it to do that, and now it's taking up an extra 26GB that I don't want, and all my media is duplicated.
The media management of Audition is already super confusing and messy, so now I have no idea if the files in my Multitrack session are pointing to where they originally were, or this new "Imported Files" folder, and I'm afraid to get rid of one or the other in case I've made destructive edits to audio files that will be in one place or another.
The file management of this program is a major mess, I'm not a fan of how it handles that at all.
How can I consolidate all of this and make sure that I'm not missing anything, but get it into one clean place, BUT have my Audition project file live in my Dropbox folder.
