I have a song (background tracks only (no vocals)) that I'd love to have in a lower key. It's for a production and the singers need it in a lower key as its just out of their comfortable range. Is there any way to do this easily using Audition that will leave the song sounding good and not hopefully not like it was digitally altered? Thanks!

How to edit volume levels/envelope for each channel in multitrack file?
I have imported a .mov file into my project with 4 audio channels. Is there any way to set volume independently for each of those channels in the multitrack editor?
In the audio mixer I only find how to set levels for all 4 channels, and if I edit it in waveform the audio mixer disappears.

How to preserve markers from Waveform in Multitrack
Hello,
I'm having a big difficulty with this. We edit our podcasts by first putting marks on all the tracks we record (in waveform editor).
We would the like to import the tracks into Multitrack so that the markers are still visible and we could edit the tracks there. This however does not happen. The marker lines get preserved but not their description.
Another workaround would be to edit directly from the waveform but here I can't seem to find a way to copy and paste. The blade tool does not work in Waveform editor (for good reasons) but the selection tool is also useless as it is impossible to copy a part of a track and paste it into a multitrack.
Could someone prove me wrong ? Would appreciate this tremendously.

Sample Rates Do Not Match Error
When I open Audition and try to record, I get the following error:
'The sample rates of the audio input and output devices do not match. Audio cannot be reccorded until this is corrected. Use the appropriate operating system or audio device control panel to adjust the sample rates of the input and output devices to use the same settings.'
I am running Audition from a Mac, and normally use PCs. I don't know how to change these settings on a Mac, and am using a new microphone, almost definitely the source of the error. Please let me know how I can change the sample rates to match.

No audio clip/file after importing avi file
Using Audition 3.0
Not reading/finding audio clip after importing video file. AVI file format with MPEG Layer-3 audio format. Under show information while importing, it says no audio. Video has audio. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mixdown - all I get is my voiceover channel
I'm feeling REALLY stupid. 
I'm trying to do a mixdown and all I get is the vo/ channel (top channel). Both other channels are missing.
I've scoured the forum, to no avail. I think I have the "sends" set, but no joy.

I recorded several songs from a cassette, inserted CD track markers and the inserted the entire file into CD layout assuming that when I burned the CD each song would have a separate track. It is all on track one??

Best Way to Export Single Tracks in Audition
Hello,
What is the best way to export one single track (stereo or 5.1) from a multiple track mix in the Multitrack Editor if I want to make it mono? Is it by just muting the tracks I don´t want in the final mixdown and then selecting a mono Master in the Mixdown Options box?
What about exporting only a few of the tracks from a multiple track mix to one mono file? Same process?

Audition CS6 Mac Playback Problem
I am unable to get playback at all in CS6 on Mac. The play button or spacebar will not move the playhead or make sound come out of the foamy things with the magnets. The play button toggles back and forth between green and white, but it isn't working. This is true in both multi track and waveform view.
Anyone have ideas on what the issue could be? Thanks!

I am using audition cs6 for the first time... Audition does not see my daw hardware. I am using an iMac with os x10.8.3.... Does the steinberg need some kind of driver or plug in?

Can you help us remove a buzzing from our monologue audio in our first film? WILL PAY, YES REALLY!

We shot our first film at the weekend, and while I'm sure you know what's coming next, we do and did know the importance of getting good sound right first time. We filmed with a directional mic and operated it correctly. Unfortunately, the budget didn't allow for an external recorder, so we had to record into camera - it was the best we had available.
We've ended up with a constant buzzing sound on ALL dialogue we've recorded. The camera was a few feet away from a refridgerator which is what I think has caused it. It's not too practical to shoot again any time soon, so I'm thinking we'll have to do some ADR 
However, I'm hoping the fact that the buzzing is constant means it's remotely possible to save what we have already, so that's the reason I'm turning here. It's just a monologue, so obviously from one actor only. Here's a sample:

If it is possible to perform miracles on this, I'd be willing to pay a small sum or make a donation to a cause of your choice. It's our first film and we're really happy with the video, but the dialogue is of course fundamental. The film itself is five minutes long when finished, so we'd be looking to be able to reproduce the steps - or if we find someone truly amazing, have you on-board as our sound editor for the full thing.
Our film is at the mercy of your abilities.

CS6 Impressions and Requests
Overall my impression of CS6 is much more positive than CS5.5. I'm seeing features restored from 3.0 that are great to see back again. I'm also enjoying some of the new functionality. But some key features of AA3.0 are still missing, which I used often.
1. Generate Silence. This is useful in the waveform editor in many cases. It's great we can generate tones, but silence is the blank canvas that is needed.
2. Sample editing by dragging individual samples. Perhaps this exists, but I couldn't figure out how to do it.
3. Generate noise (pink, white). Fundamental in audio. We need this.
4. Spectral Phase Display. Please bring this back from AA3.0. Incredibly useful, and much more powerful than the very rudimentary phase display in CS6. I use this often in AA3.0.
5. Spectral Pan Display. Was not used by me as often as Spectral Phase Display, but still useful to have.
6. Hovering or left-clicking at the top or bottom of a stereo waveform selects or plays only the Left or only the Right channel. This is much easier in realtime to compare left/right channels than using the buttons at the right to deselect channels.
And, new things not related to AA3.0:
1. Ability to use Normalize in effects rack. This is one of the most common effects I would use for working with certain audio files.
2. 64-bit support in Windows 7. CS6 appears to be a 32-bit application. If so, will a 64-bit version be available?
There are new things I'm enjoying about CS6. So overall this is a great effort coming from CS5.5. But AA3.0 remains installed on my PC. Please restore the other features above from AA3.0.

I purchased audition 3.0 in Nov. 2008. I use it daily to produce radio programs that support the poor in Brazil and Ukraine. Today when I clicked on the audition Icon a window opened that read " you are not allowed to contin ue because your account does not have the proper privileges. Please login using an account with administrator privileges and try again. Can anyone help me and the others that I help. Please!

How do I keep my loops from drifting out of sync?
Hi - I am trying to lock my loops to stay in sync with the tempo of the song. I am dumping each individual sequenced track from my yamaha motif. For example, I record 8 bars of the kick drum pattern and the same for other drum sounds (ie: hi hat, snares, claps). I trim my loops, select loop and drag out to the desired length I want. When I play back the 4 tracks of drum patterns looped, they seem to drift after awhile. Is this not the correct method or should I be saving the loop as .cel first? Is there a snap to grid type feature which will lock my start and end points of my loops to the tempo of the track? My loop editing is very tight but I'm only human so some loops might be a hair off which causes some tracks to drift out of sync. Is there a setting that does this and if so, can you point to where I can find it?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
