I've used Audition for several years in a Mac environment with a Presonus Firestudio and not experienced any problems, but I'm now using a PC and a MOTU 8Pre (USB) for recording, and have run into trouble right away.

 

The 8Pre seems to be set up correctly, with all the current ASIO drivers installed on the PC, and Audition seems to recognize both it and the MOTU Audio Console. However, I can't record anything. I can see/assign all the 8Pre's inputs and I can arm tracks for record, but the track input levels do nothing onscreen, and if I hit "record" and then "stop", not even silence is recorded. There's just nothing on the track. Meanwhile, the input signal is strong on the 8Pre's physical display, and all of my Audio Hardware settings/preferences suggest that everything is OK.

 

Ideas? Thanks.

I recently used the "Stretch and Pitch Process" effect in Adobe Audition CS6 to correct a faulty audio track. However, now whenever I open any track the pitch is in correct. How do I turn off the effect?

If I expand my workspace to cover more than one computer screen I find the program crashes whenever I change any effect parameter. It is fine if I am on a single screen Does anyone else have this problem?

Hi

 

I just downloaded a trial of Audition CS4 for windows.

 

I have already used it to remove a few clicks which are evident in this short (attached) PRE-audition sample.

 

Now I would like to go in and remove (if possible) or at least reduce the slight "echo" of the room itself.  You can hear the "echo" in this attached wav file.

 

I realize I might not be able to remove all of the "echo" but if I could remove some of it it would be nice.

How do I restore a recorded clip in Audition to its original time stamp in the recording? ie - if I happened to move the clip while editing but want to restore the clip to the original time stamp it had when it was recorded, how do I do this?

Hi, I searched all the forum and the internet, there are some information about rewireing, but not in English, Spanish or Persian.

 

I use AA 5.5 and Cubase. I would like to use these to software together, mainly want to send sound from Cubase to AA to use AA's Analyzer and to record sound out of Cubase into AA. Please help me or send a link to a detailed step by step explanation about rewiring in AA.

The latest version of the Audition CC 2014.2  is not running smoothly

I have imported several wav tracks into a project in Audition. Now, I'm trying to record a vocal track directly in the program, but it also records all the rest of the music on that vocal track... What am I doing wrong ?

Hi,

 

I am Running latest Audition CC on a 2009 MacPro running the latest Yosemite.   I can see that  the audio Audio track is displaying, I can see the level rise and fall as I scrub but I can hear NO sound to headphones. WHY?

 

I have checked the MacPro's system preferences and clicked through the Audition settings but I can't see where the output to device ( headphones) might be muted.  What am I missing?

I recently had to refresh my computer. When I began restoring my software I learned that

I have lost my Adobe CS6. Which means I've also lost my product Key.

 

I purchased 2 license about 2 years ago. One for myself and one

for my pastor who uses it to produce weekly broadcasts.  I am a music minister so I am desperate.

 

I need to learn how I can purchase a replacement disc and or download CS6 and retreive my product key.

 

I registered when I purchased and have been a long time user of Adobe's sound product.

 

If I can get a phone number where I can talk to an acutal human that would be great.

 

I appreciate any help in this matter.

Seriously Adobe? I can't select a portion of an audio clip and then paste that portion over another part onto the same audio track without crashing? Let me guess, you want me to just noise reduce everything so that it sounds like an echo? Why don't you pay for the 2 hours wasted for saving a file before it crashes and then having to redo everything because the save didn't actually save. Or better yet, why don't you just crash after I apply an effect and then bake the effect in so that I have to restart my entire process of going into the audio track? HMM?

 

Running Windows 8.1 with a 16GB DDR3 on a Quad Core I7 with an SSD. All the files are on the SSD.

I do voice over work and need to add metadata to hundreds and hundreds of audio files. Some of the data is the same for ALL of the files.  Is there a way to autofill any of the meta data?  They all have the same artist, same genre, recording date, composer, technician, and copyright info.

I recently connected my Bose Soundlink Mini bluetooth speakers to my Mac to play sound for my Audition track. Once connecting I had to fix my Audio Hardware settings for Audtion (forgot which settings). But now, after disconnecting my Bose speakers and using my Mac's built-in speakers to depend on sound, no sound is playing from Audition. The play button is glowing green but there is no sound nor is anything moving not the time, nothing. Also, it says "Playing (Resampling to match device sample rate: 44100 Hz)". And every time I start Adobe Audtion, a box appears after Audition loads and asks "Your system's audio hardware settings have changed. Would you like to review Audition's audio hardware preferences?" I would click "Yes" and troubleshoot yet nothing has changed and no sound is playing. What do I do?

How do I apply the same info to specific metadata fields across multiple files, i.e. record date, artist, genre, composer, technician.  Most of the fields that I want to populate/use will be the same for 50-100 files, then each file will have a couple items specific to that individual file.

Hi there,

 

I am trying to save out a file I created with a trial version of Adobe Audition and I do not see the "Apply" button in the Clip Effects window. Does anyone know if this might be due to the fact that it is a trial?
