Hey there, I'm using Audition CC 2017.1.1 newest version and since I updated the program I can't use the rack effect "Mastering" anymore with presets. If I chose any of the presets in the dropdown menu on the mastering-window, I receive an error message saying something like: "Preset (name of preset) was not loaded correctly." (in German: "Die Vorgabe (Name) wurde nicht korrekt geladen.") I have no idea how to solve this problem, can you please help?

Ripple delete not affecting Bus Tracks
Hello,
Quite a major issue.
I have a number of effects mapped to several bus tracks in Audition 2017 (issue also applies in 18 I have just tried).
When I attempt to do a ripple delete, the keyframes in the main tracks (effect automation not track volume) all move but the keyframes in the bus tracks do not.
This seems like a bug, it's very annoying however as if there isn't a fix for this I'll have to manually move all of my keframes across the whole project... which is two hours long currently.
Any clues on how to make ripple delete affect bus track automation?

Remix feature not working for audio clip
Hi all,
In Adobe Audition is have this audio clip I want to remix (so I can extend its duration), only it's not working. Constantly when I press the "Remix" button it says "Analysis failed". I tried to remix just a normal song I had and this worked fine. It seems like all the time when I want to remix this small 2 seconds clip it's not able to remix it.
The screenshot attached shows the Analysis failed.
How can I solve this so I can extend my audio clip?

2 mics for one podcast
I'm having trouble with connecting a second mic. I have two audio-technica mics - but only one is connecting to the program. any advice? Trying to start a podcast with guests. need help asap.

Auto Ducking only one channel :(
Hey so I sent a sequence from Premier to audition to apply some auto ducking. The problem I am having is when I adjust the "reduce by", the ducking is only working on one channel, so the left sides volume is going up and down the the right side is not being affected.
Any ideas?

Fade button disappeared on multitrack editor
I've had this happen multiple times. The overlaid fade-out button will simply disappear for one part of a track. Nothing I can do will get it back. The fade works fine on other clips. Where did it go?

I don't get it? Why can't you save Project Files in Audition?
I want to Import files, work on them, save the project, and work on them later... Not just save as an audio file. This seems really stupid. Can someone please help. And how can I be the only person that can't figure this out. I Googled it and can't find anything. Adobe products suck to learn, there is nowhere to help learn them. Like I'm supposed to be born with this knowledge or something. Also where can I learn Adobe products without having to haphazardly Google random questions continuously?

Basic File Management Question(s)
Hello, I'm quite new to Audition (CC2014), and in my efforts to understand the program's file management system, I've run into several puzzles. (I think understanding file management in video and audio programs is crucial, and I'm already off to a not-so-good start). I hope someone out there has the patience to lend a hand.
1. For experimentation, I created a .wav file called "Terra Firma" and put in a desktop folder called "Audition Project." I opened the waveform, then just closed Audition without doing anything else. Now in my Audition Project folder, there's another file called Terra Firma, but with the green/black Au icon. When I double click on the green/black Au icon, Audition opens up, but the Terra Firma file doesn't show up. In Audition's media browser, only the original .wav file shows up. So what is the purpose of the other file of the same name? Is it important
2. Destructive editing: If I understand correctly, when I make and save changes to the waveform of my Terra Firma file, the original file changes permanently. So ALWAYS work with a copy of the audio file, right?
Fundamentally, I don't get the Audition file management system. It doesn't make any intuitive sense to me. I find it, well, really bad. If anyone might suggest a tutorial where it's clearly explained, I would greatly appreciate it.

Audition crash on startup
Hi all,
I can't seem to open Audition. It crashes in a few seconds after I try to start it.
I have not yet been able to open Audition at all since I installed Adobe.
It always happens when it says 'Initializing (AuBackend)', but Googling it didn't make me any wiser.
What I tried to get past the crash
- Tried running the program with my soundcard turned on, off, enabled, disabled, disconnected, connected to different USB port. No difference whatsoever, the program always crashes.
- Holding down shift when starting the program. No result.
- Deleting the preference folder located in AppData\Roaming folder. No result.
- Creating a "Audition Log.txt" file. Audition doesn't write to it.
- Reinstall Audition. No result.
- Installing older version (Audition CC). Crashes on starting up as well. (on: "Initializing Required Application Components... (BE)")
Any help?

Wrong WAV save after a recording session
Hello,
This afternoon I had a professional come to my place to record a voice over on my mic.
Everything went great, and after he left, I even edited his first file. When came the moment to save the files, I save in WAV as usual. But for some reason that never happened before, the sampling was in set 8bit instead of 32bit. Then I closed Audition, and when I got back to it to finish the editing, I realized the mistake because there is a huge white noise on the tracks.
Do you know if there is a way to get back the original track before saving it, kind of a temp file somewhere, before the mistake ?
Otherwise, I'll just have to rerecord the whole voice over from the beginning.

Make audio levels change with speaker
Hi! I am putting together dozens of videos (in premiere pro) of people saying something to the camera. I have music in the background, but it has to be low in order to hear the speaker...and I'm not getting the effect I want. I'm hoping there is some easy way to make the music volume lower when the next speaker speaks, and between, it would raise so you could here the song. Is this possible in audition without doing so manually? Thanks!

Ripple extend a clip?
Hello all,
So, I know you can use "ripple delete" to remove a section of audio from a clip and automatically slide all subsequent clips on the track left to remove the gap. And you can use "insert silence" to *add* a gap and slide all subsequent clips on the track to the right.
BUT is there such a thing as "ripple add" (or similar) where you can drag a clip into a track and and all subsequent clips on the track slide right to make room (as with FCP's magnetic timeline, or shuffle mode in Pro Tools)?
Is there such a thing as "ripple extend" (or similar) where you can use the bracket tool to extend a clip in either direction, and it will slide subsequent clips to adjust for the extended/trimmed audio? IIRC, Premiere has a ripple trim tool (the yellow bracket) that does this. I'd be surprised if Audition didn't have something similar. it helps a lot with timing edits around breaths and so forth.

The subject pretty much says it all. I've been messing with this for over an hour and I cannot get input from Windows10 running Chrome or from Premiere playing in the background over the stereo mix. I've watched the set-up videos and everything looks correct. I have updated the drivers (already latest drivers installed for Realtek audio, which is the recording channel). There is simply no input signal and nothing records, even though I can hear everything fin through headphones.
When I switch recording devices I get a strange anomaly: for a split second the meter registers whatever is playing in the background, but then it freezes (same for both Dynamic and Static peak settings), and it still will not record. When I try to record and scrub through, it plays a low hum, although there is no waveform.

Playhead doesn't return to start position if there's a selection.
Hi all.
I have the "Return playhead to start position on first stop" activated, and it works as expected during normal playback.
However, if I make a selection and play it, the playhead does not return to the starting point upon stopping. It stops at the end of the selection, but goes on its merry way AFTER the selection when you play again. If there's any time you want to repeat playback, it's when you have a selection!
Looping is not a suitable workaround, because in many cases you want to hear what an edit sounds like from start to stop.
Is this a Mac-specific bug, or does it happen on Windows too?

Software opens outside of my Mac's screen and I can't move it back on-screen!?
Hi All,
Hope someone can help? Every time I open Adobe Audition, it opens partly on-screen, partly off-screen. The header bar is hidden behind the Mac OS header bar so I can't grab that to move it back on screen. Its window size is deeper than the Mac's screen, so I can't grab the corner to try and minimise it and move it back on-screen that way. Due to the set-up of Audition, every time I try to grab the main 'black' space it just pulls a section out and again not possible to move the main window back on-screen.
I'm not having this problem with any other Adobe package!? I think this is happening because I use 2 screens in the office but I always quite all applications and turn off my Mac before taking it out of the office.
I've tried quitting and reopening the application but the same problem keeps occurring. I've tried restarting the Mac and turning it off and on again but keeps happening. I've looked into the display settings in preferences but no joy! I've tried disabling Mission Control in Hot Corners but it still opens off-screen! I've looked a lot into Audition's 'Window' and 'View' settings but nothing seems to bring it back on-screen!?
Any/all advice will be greatly appreciated.
