Me again. I have completed a new recording in audition and have saved the file. I then began editing and when I went to Save or Save As I get a severe error message C000000005. This is a brand new recording after experiencing an issue last week.
Any suggestions?

I keep having the strangest problem, that comes and goes, but when it comes it stays until I erase the program and re-install it.
When I try to normalize an audio track, either through the Normalize pulldown menu option, or as a quick 'favorite' (normalize to -3 or -.1), it ends up erasing the entire audio track.
Is there a single Adobe product that hasn't been screwed up by updates recently? This is getting increasingly frustrating (especially as my subscription cost is about to escalate greatly). Between Prelude, Media Encoder and this...you're adding a lot of wasted time to my work day

I want to extend a soundclip witch is 3.23 long and a MP3 format. But i can't activate the remix tool. Maybe it's because it's a MP3? I have the fullversion of Audition CC 2018. If you have an answer for that Problem, i'm really happy.

Hello so I use rokit 6 monitors and Audio techinca m40x and when I listen to my audio I don't hear any clipping. However, despite hearing no clipping on either monitor system, the input is clipping. The recorder is a tascam DR-10L with my settings having auto, limiter, and dual record on for a separate -6db version. It says the input is clipping in audition but I think even without a limiter the output isn't clipping? I can't remember what the settings were on the daw audio track as this was a question I had a while back but never asked. But the input has almost always said that there's clipping with every new recording/project I work on. If I lower the volume or use a limiter in my daw, and I can't hear any clipping whatsoever, is it safe to say there isn't any "perceived" clipping that any non-audio savvy person would be able to hear?
I do hear clipping sometimes if the subject yells or laughs really loud, and I mix in/replace the -6db version for those parts, but there aren't that many times I hear clipping.

I am currently experiencing a big issue with Adobe CC (Audition) constantly crashing,this seems to happen as the system auto saves or not long after I manually save my multi track work,sometimes even at random times,even worse when the system is re stored it is not saving the last stored work,it goes back almost to the opening workflow.
I have just installed the latest version of Adobe CC (Audition) on my brand new Mac which is running Mac Os High Sierra Version 10.13.14
I have operated this software on my old Mac without any issues,can anybody please help me with this issue.

I'm running four mics through an Allen & Heath ZEDi10 mixer.
Best I can tell, it is sending four signals, but audition only gives me the option of selecting input 1 or 2... 3 and 4 aren't there. See images below.

I know that there is someone out there that has the answer, or at least someone that can help with this problem:
I had WIN7 before - during which I installed Adobe Audition 3.0. Upgraded the same computer (without reinstall) to WIN10 and Audition still worked OK. Had a mobo failure and had to do a fresh WIN10 install. Adobe Audition 3.0 installs fresh without problems during the install, but when trying to start Audition I get this error:
The odd thing is that Adobe Audition 3.0 installs on another WIN10 PC fine and runs completely OK!
What is wrong or missing on my desktop PC - or why does this work on the other (laptop) computer? Both have the same and latest WIN 10 Pro N 64-bit OS. I have (via windows options) installed the 3.5 framework on the PC with the problem - but it does not help. I have NO other virus or spyware protection other than Windows' own.
So - I have proof that Adobe Audition 3.0 installs and works FINE on WIN10 on a laptop - but how to get it to work on this computer???
The activation of Audition is not an issue (discontinued product) since I have the last legal version with a given serial number - that doesn't need activation. I am NOT going to purchase the complete CS suite only to be able to run my legit Audition 3.0 for occasional audio work. I could use some other software but I like Audition and learned to use it fluently. Additionally I have many files I need to rescue and need to get Audition 3 up and running on this computer.
I AM TRULY GRATEFUL for any help or hints about how to solve this. I'm not a computer noob but not able to solve this myself. Many others have stumbled over this problem but it seems there's not an clear and working answer...

Got a noise print for a Track, and then went through my favourite saved process for the clip. Uploaded another clip and I keep getting the 'Noise print is incompatible with this file'. Files are from the same source, and I have tried to open in new projects, multi tracks but now all I get is this message, what have I missed in the process?
Audition CC 2017 randomly quits recording an audio file. Usually after about 20 minutes.
I have Windows 10, Screen and Sleep are both turned off in forever mode.
Any ideas as to what is causing this? No other application, including browser is running.
This started happening towards the middle of May.

I have recently been transferring a bunch of old Hi-8 cassettes to digital but the audio level recording is a mess so I always end up having a higher db than what I'm supposed to (I've learned that it has be between -12 and -15 db most of the time, more less).
If the audio was already distorted as a result of the db being too high, will lowering the db fix it? And even if the distortion is fixed, will it ever be the same quality as audio that wasn't distorted in the first place?

This is getting really frustrating. Many times when I record some audio through my mic, then keep recording in the same track and then export the file out, the last second or so of audio repeats itself at the end. Now, to be clear, no such repetition appears in the waveform. There is literally nothing at the end of the track, in Audition, that would indicate the sound is actually there.
So, for example, I record:
"Mary had a little lamb" <stop> <start> "whose fleece was white as snow"
I'll get:
"Mary had a little lamb.. whose fleece was white as snow was white as snow"
even though nothing of the type appears in waveform or in playback in Audition.
WTF?
A'ight, look. I have a big question.
Let's imagine that I have a time selection of some part of track in Waveform. I copy it. And then I paste it to this track. So, here comes a question: how can I paste it as a single clip? and how can I work with it as with a separate clip?

I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but the new Audition CC 2018 crashes WAY too much. Normally I back up redundantly throughout a session. But this time I was in too much of a hurry and when it crashed my session I lost about 10 steps of a promo I was working on. It seems especially vulnerable to crashes when I am moving quickly. Almost like it can't keep up. I have to be super careful that I stop playback before clicking on "apply" or it'll crash on me - something I never had to worry about with the previous version. If you have a fix in the plans, sooner would be better than later, please

The sound quality when I play something in Audition is very low... as if it was super low bitrate..

I would like to turn a music file from .wav to .aiff. I saw that with Audition need to save with name the .wav file in .aiff, but is it reliable? Audition does not modify decibels or other parameters of the .wav file?

I wanted to try surround mixing using the Creative Sound Blaster Omani 5.1 external sound card but I’m having playback issues. After configuring the device, I import an audio file and then use the surround panner to pan the audio, as you do, but whenever I do that, I can’t hear any audio playback. In fact, in general I hear nothing. I noticed that when I export the processed file to a WAV or MP3, I can hear the surround sound as it pans around all 5 speakers. So now I’m sure that the is with Audition. For configuration for the 5.1 external sound card, I use ASIO4All. Please if you could help me get this sorted out, it would be much appreciated. I’ve been using Audition for years now and can’t get this figured out. Thanks in advance.
