I've edited an interview in Audition and have taken out all of the "ums", "ahs" and long pauses, resulting in a 40 minute clip with over 300 edits.  I'd like to put a 4 frame crossfade between each edit, I find it works like a charm to smooth out the cuts.  Is there a way to add a fade like this without doing each one individually?  It would be very time consuming using the typical Audition method.  Seems it would be pretty cut-and-dry, but I've done a lot of searching and haven't been able to find anything.

 

I realize I could easily do this in Premiere by holding Cmd, highlighting the edits, then pasting a crossfade... then exporting to Audition.  But instead of always round-tripping stuff, for some projects I'd like to just stay in Audition.  Any help greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

I've tried searching on YouTube and couldn't find an Audition CS6-specific tutorial,  to no avail.  Hoping to find a simple step-by-step (effect-by-effect) tutorial or explanation on how to master for ACX settings (measure between -23 and -18 RMS, and peak no higher than -3).    Thanks!

Hi,

 

I was just creating some quick audio logos in Audition.

 

I noticed that Audition lacking a feature that allows you to easily copy a Multitrack session, so you can easily create variations of audio mixes.

 

Right now, you have to use File > New > New Multitrack or CTRL/CMD+N to create a new Multitrack, after which you have to copy assets over from the previous multitrack in order to create a new variation.

 

Can you please allow for a Duplicate-feature? Simply by appending 01, 02, etc. to the file name of the existing mix, you can continue working on variations, without changing the original version, or having to use Save as to achieve the same effect.

How do you have AA CS 5.5 begin playback again at the beginning of the song when it reachs the end of the song? Or a selected portion of the song continually play when it reaches the end of the selected part? I've searched the menus and can't find it. I hope this hasn't been removed. Thanks.

I just set up my new Mac Mini (2018) and Audition audio hardware settings appear to be setup normally. My interface is working fine but audition will not record any audio. It goes through the usual recording process but no levels show up and there's no audio being inputted into Audition even though my interface/mic is chosen as the default input. Any ideas? Everything seems to operating normally other than Audition just has zero audio showing up while recording.

Greetings All, I've had Audition 3.01 since forever and recently upgraded to CC 2019 and hopefully, I am simply overlooking a setting somewhere and someone can set me straight. I work with live concert recordings and work on an entire show (2-3 hrs in length) in one .wav. In Audition 3.01, I could begin playback  and then move the cursor/mouse to a different section and use the mouse wheel to zoom in on the position of the cursor/mouse. Essentially, I could be listening to the .wav while scouring the entire .wav for anomalies, etc. In CC 2019, no matter how I set the "Mouse Wheel Zoom" option, CC 2019 always zooms to the playhead position during playback. I want to be able to zoom in to the cursor/mouse position while listening to the .wav instead of zooming in to the playhead position. I've used Audition 3.01 for so many years that the ability to zoom in to the cursor position during playback, rather than the playhead position has become in-grained in my mastering routine and I hope there is a way to replicate Audition 3.01's behavior in CC 2019. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Does anyone have any idea how to view the preset that was selected in any of the effects once the session has been closed, and re-opened? For whatever reason-the preset default to "custom", as oppose to displaying the preset that was previously selected. This has always been an issue for me, but I decided to check to see if anyone else found a work-around for this situation

I have an Alesis V49 that is supposed to be supported by any software. It works on Garageband so I assume it should work on Audition. When I go into the audio hardware settings to select an external input device, this keyboard does not appear even though all of my other USB input devices do. Therefore, when I try to record with this device, nothing comes through (even when I click on monitor input to double check). Anyone know how I can fix this?

I have a mixed down song I created using MAGIX software. I took the WAV file and normalized it in Audition then saved it to my computer. I uploaded it to youtube, tunecore and radioairplay. When I play the online version on my computer the song sounds great, everything is fine. When anyone else tries to play it on their devices through the same online services there are no lyrics, it is just an instrumental. My phone and computer play the lyrics just fine from the online source but no one else gets them, I don't understand what would cause this. Help!

When i save a project and reopen it, several clips are missing the audio. If i remove the clip and reimport it, it is now only 1 frame long.  I am using cc19 audition on a windows 10 on a surface book.

How can I increase the font size in Adobe Audition CC? I'm using the program on an HP 27 inch LED QHD monitor. The text is too small for me to see without eyestrain and I will have to switch to another DAW if I can't make it larger.

I am using a focusrite 2i. I have loaded the new drives and have checked my equipment. When I use audio file everything works fine. When I create a new multi track session it will not record. So the equipment works well. The audio file session is in mono. Any ideas.

Hi all,

 

So, I'm pretty new to all of this and was hoping some kind people who have knowledge and experience could lend me a hand.

 

I've been asked to read out some books and record in order to make them into audio-books. The problem is that naturally when I speak the 's' sound comes out quite harsh. Now, I've done all the recording already (and it took a while to do) and also I've been speaking this was for many, many years (so it'll be very difficult for me to not have this harsh 's' while still sounding natural) so it's not really practical for me to go back and re-record it all. Is there a way of fixing this through audition? I've tried using the 'de-esser' function for the whole track but it doesn't seem to do a lot. I've also tried highlighting the target frequency for each sound and reducing the volume of it and, while this works well, it'll take a lot of time to do it for all of the audio I need to get through.

 

Any ideas? Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Hello,

is there a way to adjust horizontal scrolling speed (shift+scrollwheel)? In default settings I find it unusable slow.

 

And by the way, is there a way to search just one forum here?

I just recently purchased a Soundcraft Signature 12 MTK - its my first multitrack interface and I'm immeadiately running into issues.

I'm recording just my voice through a Behringer XM1800S microphone plugged directly into the board.

 

When I hit record, I can hear my voice through the board just fine and on the Meter Input Signal indicator I can see that my audio is coming into Audition around -10db. But as I record, I can tell that the waveforms themselves in the track are barely appearing.

 

When I'm done recording, if I enter Waveform Editor view of the clip I just recorded, I can barely see the waveforms: https://cl.ly/a49c96c41457/Image%202018-12-27%20at%208.06.31%20PM.png. And when I try to listen to the actual audio, I get no sound out of my headphones like I do when I'm in Multitrack Editor. I'm not changing any settings between the two views - I'm just simply double-clicking on the clip.

Hi

i wana delete some default keyboard shortcuts in audition cs6( because of conflict with another software on my system)

for example toggle recording (shift + space)

in keyboard shortcuts section i delete this shortcut but it still works.

Hello,

 

My time display is not counting while recording.  When I stop the recording, the time is displayed, but not while actually recording.  It stays at 0:00:000.  The time display works just fine in playback.  I'm not finding any settings to resolve this issue. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi. I'm a CC 2019 user.

I want to know about "Send" of Adobe audition CC 2019.

Actually, there is just 1 bus I can choose per 1 track.

 

In multitrack display of CC 2019, Can I send 1 track to 2 buses, or more?

 

I want to make a parallel sending like,

 

               -> Bus A (some effects)          ->

Track 1                    ->                           ->          master

               -> Bus B (some effects)          ->

 

So individual sendings and the original sound of track are merging to master track

Not a Series sequence as Track 1 -> Bus A -> Bus B -> mater or Track 1 -> Bus A Effect 1 // Effect 2 -> master

Editing in multitrack, use the razor tool and then need to trim my cut.  If I try to left click drag (trim) after I cut, it goes to waveform view (like I double clicked on the multitrack clip).

 

My current workaround is razor tool, move cursor around, then trim.  It gets really annoying when I have hundreds of cut-trim operations.

 

I feel like audition should know not to go to waveform view on a click if the trim tool is showing, or that the razor click should not count as the first click of a double click.

 

Anyone else have this problem?  Any advice would be appreciated

Hi there,

 

I recently updated Windows 10 to Version 1809 and noticed that my Snowball USB Microphone won't cooperate within Audition CC anymore? I've tried it outside the program and it works fine. I'm also on the newest version of Audition. I dunno if this is a common issue or if I'm potentially doing something wrong here but it worked fine just before I updated. Anybody have any idea as to what could be causing this? Thanks!
