I have Audition CS6 running on Windows 8 and everything seems to be working well, but I need a new interface. I was wondering if the MBox (3rd Gen) would work? I searched around everywhere and haven't been able to find an answer. I also tried to find some way to get a hold of Adobe directly to ask this question...but they really don't make it easy. So here I am. Is there anybody in the community who knows if this will work or not? Thanks!
Is MBox (3rd Gen) compatible with Audition CS6 on Windows 8?
How do you manually edit stereo pan keyframe values?
I would like to manually edit stereo pan keyframe values instead of dragging them with the mouse. Is there a way to do this?
I can't work with Photoshop after downgrading to CS5
I've downgraded CS6 to CS5, because I am more comfortable with it. Although the screen pops correctly when I have to press Shift, Ctrl, and Alt to have the Photoshop up, but then I cannot work with it. Has there be a solution to this problem? Do I not have to press three keys to have the title screen, and then actually work with when pressing on it?

noise reduction effect
I am trying to reduce the background noises in a voice recording from video shot at a Gas Station with loud vehicle noise in Audition. I do not want to eliminate the sounds altogether but lower them quite a bit. I watched the Tutorial on the website by Mr. Levine but with the variance and number of controls I am finding it difficult to get the same results as he did in his example. I have multiple clips of this kind and would like to streamline the process.
Is there a sweet spot for the Spectral Decay Rate, Precision Factor, Smoothing and Transition Width in the advanced settings in the Noise Reduction Effect to reduce loud background noise from a voice recording without producing the tunnel like echo in the voice after the effect is applied?
Opening PC .sesx files on a Mac?
Been using the 32 bit version of Audition via the CC on my Win 7 PC for 6 months.
Now we're migrating to Macs and I cannot open any of my old session files.
Maybe I'm dumb, but I thought that the sesx files would be cross platform compatible?
Have I made a false assumption?
Anyone know any workarounds?

Audio time expansion / compression
I work in a broadcast environment (radio). We use Audition CS6 in all of our production studios. All output from Audition must be either MP3 with a sample rate of 44100 Hz, stereo 16-bit or WAV files. Promos and underwriting announcements are typically 30-second and occasionally 60-seconds in length. Other segments range from a few minutes to a max of 58 minutes. What ever the length, it must be exact. For example a half hour segment targeted to run for 29:00.000 may end up 28:57.043 or 29:03.495. How can do I expand or compress the time of a session without altering the pitch? Sessions may be either single mono tracks or multichannel stereo tracks. This has become an urgent situation for us due to the installation of a new automation system that requires exact times and does not provide this time squeeze/expand feature.
editing compression and expander
on the graph in dynamics processing I'd like the compression to be 2.03
and expander 1.13, just point me in the right direction, please. I've
tried messing with the diagonal line to no avail.
Sincere thanks,
Gerry

Recording Questions
Hello
I am new to audition CC and I have been using Pro Tools but I have a few recording questions that I'm hoping you all can answer for me.
1. Can I record multiple takes of audio like I can with Pro Tools?
2. If I can record multiple takes of audio can I them comp them like I can with Pro Tools?
3. Where is the grid in Adobe Audition cause I don't see it.
4. Where do my files I record go to?
Thanks

Corrupt Audition session file
It won't link back to the media files used to create it (it doesn't even recognize the files in the folder, although I can see them in Windows Explorer). The Adobe Audition online chat support person was highly unsupportive. Any way to recover some or all of it?
Audition CS6 and Behringer BCR2000 ?
On the basis of anecdotal support (always dodgy) I bought a Behringer BCR2000 USB/MIDI control surface. On the strength that both products purport to support 'Mackie Control', I thought it would just be a matter of finding a template or at worst, a lot of key assignment. Sadly, I haven't found a template for Adobe Audition CS6 in the Behringer archive, nor a plug-in from the Adobe end. Not much hair remaining! "Adobe Evangelist", Mr Levine, expounded the virtue of control surface integration back in 2012. Has anything moved to increase support of other commercial control surfaces? Although ultimately 'low end', the BCR2000 is out there in large numbers. It seems churlish for Adobe not to support this popular interface. I had a crack at trying to interface the Behringer with Audition 3 - hoping the increased MIDI functionality in that version might help the mapping. Whilst I could get to a point where I could see a tally of the keypress on the BCR2000 in the AA3 'keyboard shortcuts and MIDI triggers' section, these functional assignments did not tally back to the Behringer. I'm trying to remember whether it was said at the time that AA3 didn't properly implement MIDI triggers. So, I'm left with no integration of a supposedly Mackie Control capable Behringer, which won't dialogue with CS6, it seems.
Is there a template, plug-in, or other fix to get these things to talk? Hoping someone's done it! I don't mind knife and forking it I do mind buying another piece of useless kit …again!
Cheers,
Pete.
PS 'emmrecs' had success with the BCF2000, but it seems the template that he used for Sonar emulation with CS6 didn't get written for the shaft encoder -based BCR2000.
How do I record through my mic preamp and playback through my computer soundcard in Audition CC?
It wants to always record and playback through the same device, so after I record, I have to go into the audio hardware settings and change them to play back through the sound card. I have the same issue if I want to use one preamp on track one and another preamp on track 2. It won't let me use different preamps on different tracks, it will only let me use the same preamp on all tracks. This wasn't a problem in 1.5 and 3.0.
Audition slowing down windows 7 and crashing after a few minutes of being opened
I read a previous forum post on the issue and tried the suggestions. It didn't change anything. Please help.
Level Across Files?
I'm trying to get volume for multiple files to be relativity close to each other.
Some of the files are recorded with a lavalier mic and some are recorded with a USB (Blue Yeti) mic.
The files don't have to sound exactly the same, but sometimes there are pretty dramatic differences (one is loud, one is quiet)
I know that the best way to make files sound the same is to record them in the same environment, but I have to work with what I've got.
I've seen other programs, like MP3 Gain Pro, that analyze separate tracks and normalize them to sound the same volume.
Will Audition do something like that?
Anyone know how to fill an audio dropout with Audition (using the Spectral Analysis tool, I'd assume..)
It's some kind of digital artifact that exists in the recording made in garageband (with smart strings smart strings, so somewhere in the digi/analog conversion/interpretation, it was born). It doesn't even appear in the track editor there (searched all the midi "blocks" while playing back), so I can re-perform and re-record it (which wasn't easy the first time) or fix it in Audition (which I've already spent an hour downloading and researching, so I'd kinda' just like to get it done here and learn how to fix future problems of this nature.)
I tried auto heal, the auto heal brush (a lot) and manually copying and pasting from adjacent sections of the spectrum, and it creates OTHER unwanted effects (dense bands on either side of the repair from top to bottom that click.)
The SA editor seems all about REMOVING unwanted effects, but filling and smoothing (especially since the data on either side is VERY similar (the sound is a long brush stroke of a cello- serves me right for not hiring an actual cellist...for a spec project.)
Thanks for your help/interest.

Export via markers not possible
Hi,
The situation: a 50 minute live track of a band, in the multitrack view I have 2 stereo tracks with some effects.
I added a dozen range markers for the songs. in the Markers list they appear with correct start, end and duration. I named them after the songs. (the markers are Range markers, NOT point markers)
Then when I select all markers in the markers list, the option File->Export->Audio within range markers is still grayed out.
Also the 4th and 5th icon in the marker list stay gray ("insert selected range markers in playlist" and "export audio of selected ranges into separate files")
I know this should work, i did this before, but now it won't. I know back then i had to do an aditional action to activate the menu, but stupid me forgot to jot that down somewhere...
Can anyone give a hint?
