I use Adobe Audition CS6 to build CAs and voice overs for my radio programs. I use MP3 with 128 Kbps for vocals and music beds. How come after doing mixdowns and saving to an MP3 file I get this message ("This file is is damaged or can't be used") when I insert the new CAs in to DRS 2006 Broadcasting Program? Yes, I do save the file into the Music Folder in DRS! " I've had this trouble before and I know my formats are correct. What is wrong? Hope you can help? I asked DRS this, no answer yet.

Adobe Audition Keeps Crashing
So I just downloaded this program yesterday, to start my new project, but its keeps crashing at launch, and If it opens, if I try to playback my multitack file or even export it out it crashes. Can anyone help me please?

Basics of multiple tracks
I admit that I am not that familiar with Audition so I apologize for my level of knowledge in advance.
I recorded a video of a speaker in a small room using a nice Panasonic HD camcorder that has a surround mic arrangement built-in. During the talk the speaker was directly across from the camera but major mowing noise was happening outside with the windows open. I exported the audio to Audition from Premiere and I see 6 tracks marked L-R-C-LFE-Ls-Rs. Before diving into noise reduction I thought I would try to toggle channels (i.e. maybe just center for example).
Even though I see waveforms displayed on all six channels only L and R seem to contribute to the sound on the speakers when I play with the toggle buttons on the right side. The other channels have non-zero displays but toggling them on and off has no effect on the audible sound.
Am I missing some additional mixer somewhere? Are these other channels just an illusion?

All my files are present, there are no error reports or corruption warnings. My audition session don't want to playback. Please help for I won't be held responsible for my actions if this isn't remedied.
Any suggestions other than fire bombing or suicide?

Problems importing video to Audition CC
I have checked this with my still currently installed Audition CS6 and I don't get this problem at all:
So it started when I tried to import a video into a multitrack session from a newly installed Audition CC—installed just after Premiere CC. It came up with an error and told me to enable "DLMS Format Support". So I do that, then restart. Now it imports, but the audio freaks out and I get an error saying "an error was encountered during the conforming process: unable to read or decode the file". Okay fair enough Audition, what format do you prefer? Oh I see, you like .mov and .mp4, so I try ProRes and H.264 at 720p 24fps / 48kz 16bit stereo and both files do the same damn thing. Restart etc. no difference.
So I think to myself, screw the audio. I go and create just a video file without audio. After Audition finishes spinning it's beach ball around it seems to have loaded the video file onto the video track. Oh, but wait, it's just all black.
Just to reiterate: All these formats are supposedly supported and Audition CS6 doesn't have any issues with any of the video files.
Any ideas?

Adobe Audition crashing every time I try to export multitrack mixdown
Hi there
Can someone suggest some ways to fix this problem? Adobe audition keeps on crashing every time I try to export a multi-track mixdown. It plays back ok but it crashes every single time I try to export it.
I am using Windows 7 Professional, I have 8GB of RAM and all other programs on my computer are closed.
I have done a crash dump report but do not know how to attach it here - sorry new to this forum.
Any help would be awesome! I've got a song I'd love to have as a wav file and I spent a while on it so its quite frustrating not to be able to get it out.

Startpunkt für Wiedergabe setzen / Place offset or starting point for playback
Wenn ich ein Teilstück aus einer WAV-Datei herausschneiden möchte, stoße ich an gewisse Bedienungsprobleme mit Audition CS6.
Habe ich beispielsweise den Anfang für den auszuschneidenen Audioabschnitt gefunden und kontrolliere noch einmal kurz durch eine Weidergabe, so wandert der Cursor nach rechts (logisch... Zeitbereich).
Der Startpunkt wird dabei noch gestrichelt dargestellt (siehe Screenshot).
Stoppe ich nun die Wiedergabe stoppe, um dann den ausgewählten Abschnitt erneut anzuhören, vergisst Audition leider den Startpunkt. Wenn ich nun wieder "Play" klicken, beginnt das Playback dort, wo der Wiedergabe-Cursor zuletzt gestoppt wurde.
Wie kann ich den Startpunkt des Wiedergabe-Cursors festhalten/merken?
Das muss doch auch ohne das Setzen eines Cue-Markers gehen, oder?

Using Samson CO1U in cs5.5
Alright so ive been using adobe on and off for two or three years. Recently i used a snowball mic with audacity so i had to download an asio driver no biggie. The snowball wasnt mine and my friend took it back so ive been using the samson co1u with no problems on the recording end. Other than the fact that i have to amplify my voice on any track at least three times to be audible but after doing that and mixing the file down to an mp3 my vocals are always way to quiet to be heard. The only way my voice is audible is if i play it through a laptop or plug in speakers or headphones. WHat is the reason for this? On previous files using the asio driver with the snowball this never happened. WHatever levels the vocals were in the session was the same thing in the mixdown but that isnt the case with the samson. Ive tried reading other forums and using their suggestions such as turning the latency off and down. Some one help have fiver sounds recorded like this and a mi=ultitude left bbut i want to do them right

Audition stops recording when i start recording with fraps
Hello, just like the title suggests when i start to record with fraps adobe audition stops recording. i have tried changing the hotkeys in fraps so they wont do anything in audition. also i have tried changing the hot keys in audition as well. could you guys help me? Thank you in advance

Copy and paste effects to other clips
Well I've exported my sequence from Premiere and am slowly trying to work with the audio in Audition without pulling my hair out. The biggest problem I have is the lack of ability to copy effects applied to one clip and paste over other multiple clips. I figured if this was possible in Premiere it should e in Audition, but sadly it is not. The best I could do is save a preset...is that the only option? And can I apply a saved preset to multiple clips? Most of all I like to run normalize and reverb effects to several clips at a time, but geez not being able to do this makes me just want to do it all in premiere and only edit a clip in Audition one at a time if absolutely needed. Seems like Audition has some features it could really use before it is efficient for production work. In Protools I can use alt+shift drag to copy to other clips.

Envelope curve in multitrack session

Is there an option in Audition to put envelope curves under the multitrack clip with TEMPO or MASTERING or PITCHING???
I know there is BALANCE and VOLUME and EQUALIZER..but i dont see these other options..
Can they be added or is there a plugin??

I am trying to set up Audition to be able to record from playback from the computer, as well as a usb mic. I have a Dell XPS 8300 with Realtek High Definition Audio. What kind of a sound card should i get that works well with Adobe, and could handle multiple audio inputs and be able to record from playback in other programs on my computer?

Audio clip plays normal in Media Browser, but imports as "clicks" in session after saving & reopening.
This problem has happened with almost all of my large Audition projects. File links are intact & properly managed, and most audio files play as expected. However, some files in the session get replaced with this "click" track, for lack of a better way to describe it. The audio is literally replaced with a repetitive click, or pop sound, as you can see in the image below:
Both tracks had waveforms like the top track, but now the second track has been replaced with clicks.
The strangest part: The file in question, in this case: "Grass" (downloaded directly from Youtube Audio Library, so, not corrupt) previews perfectly fine in the Media Browser window. In the File Browser, however (tracks actually used in the session), it previews as nothing but clicks. When I try to then replace the track in the mixdown / file browser with the seemingly uncorrupted file in the Media Browser, it comes in as clicks!
The only thing I can think of is that the analysis files associated with the project are getting damaged?

Problem with playback in Audition CC
Hello everyone,
im new here and work with Audition CC at the moment..
now i went into an error or problem that i dont know how to solve.
Simple as that i have a laptop with a Realtek HD Audio Soundcard and want to play many clips in a multitrack in Audition..
the thing is, it seems that Audition does not have a problem playing back the whole audio track or bigger parts of it..
But when i cut the clip into smaller clips and paste them each after one then Audition seems to have playback crackle problems..
It could be that the latency is not accurate or the bits of the soundcard (currently at 24bit, 48kHz) are not correct..
I dont know what to do exactly?!
I tried many things but it didnt come to a conclusion yet..

The bigger parts could be played back by Audition, the smaller ones NOT!

Recording stops when headphones are unplugged
I'm the FOH guy at my church, and I typically record the stereo output from the console for archival purposes. I'm using Audition CS6 on my Macbook Pro running Lion 10.7.5.
I'm recording the stereo track in edit (waveform) mode with headphones plugged into the MBP's built-in headphone port to monitor the recording. When I unplug my headphones, the recording automatically stops.
A quick check of the preferences didn't show me anything, so I'm wondering if anybody else knows of a solution to this?

Audio changes working in Audition, not sending back to Premiere CC
I am working to follow the tutorial for ducking audio I saw in the below video (that portion starts at 13:25).

The effect works fine in Audition, but when I send the project back to Premiere, the music track has absolutely no changes to it what so ever. Is there some "apply" I need to do to get it to apply the effect to send it back to Premiere to reflect the changes in ducking this tutorial shows?
Using Audition 6.0 and Premiere 7.2.2

Increasing playback speed while editing.
I edit very long interviews, which can be pretty daunting at times.
Is it possible to increase playback speed by a certain % while editing/listening to the audio file without actually changing speed/pitch of the final product? I would like to be able to get those edits done faster, but I have to listen to the whole file for mistakes, umms, pops, etc.

Mixing two songs of different bpm
Hello Guys,
i have a question regarding pitching and tempo:
i have tried a lot of things but i didnt get it done..
i have two songs in my multitrack session with different bpm..
and now i want to make a good crossing between them and mix them together..
(so basically getting one song faster in a certain time to the second bpm or vice versa)
Is there a possibility??
